Fauser, 96, died peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Hospice of Lancaster County. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Fauser Sr., who died in February of 1972. Born in Quentin, she was the daughter of the late Herman Sr. and Fannie Kreiser Hoke. Dorothy worked as a cashier for the former Rea & Derick Drug Store Manheim; previously she was employed at the former Cantor's Garment Company in Lebanon. Dorothy was a member of Salem United Methodist Church Manheim. Through the years Dorothy was active with the Manheim Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, volunteering for the Manheim Borough's Bicentennial Celebration in 1962, active with the local bowling league and helping with the girl scouts as assistant leader. Her interests included: extensive traveling throughout the entire United States, freezing and canning fruits and vegetables, baking, and cooking. She enjoyed home sewing and was an excellent seamstress. Surviving are two sons, Paul F. Jr. husband of Christiana Spickler Fauser and Kenneth R. husband of Christine Fauser, all of Manheim; two daughters, Judith M. Fauser of Manheim, Doris L. wife of W. Randall Sweitzer of Lititz; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandsons; a brother, George W. Hoke of Lebanon; and two sisters, Betty Gernert of Quentin, and Jean Blair of Palmyra. Preceding her in death are three brothers, Gary, Herman Jr., and Ammon Hoke; four sisters, Alverta White, Elsie Kless, Louella Diffenderfer, and Lorraine Gernert. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
