Fausnacht, 74, went home to be with his Lord, on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was married to Judith A. (Heide) Fausnacht, with whom he celebrated 20 years of marriage this past August. He was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1936, in Lawn, to the late William G. and Anna Mae (Walk Eyer) Fausnacht. Rodger was a graduate of Lebanon High School, following graduation he went on to receive his teaching certificate from Penn State, Berks Campus. He taught carpentry at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center for many years before retiring in 1995. He was a man of great faith, offering his carpentry skills to others through missionary trips, sponsored by his church, First U.M. Church, Palmyra. As a gift to the Borough of Palmyra, he and some of his students, built the Santa House that is located in the square every holiday season. He was a member of the PA Association of School Retirees, Brownstone Masonic Lodge #666 F. & A.M., Shriners International, Hershey Shrine Club, and Scottish Rite. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Craig A. Fausnacht; and a daughter, Cathy F. and husband, Jeffrey James, both of Uniontown; step-son, Michael D. and wife, Pamela Kiscadden of Chantilly, Va.; grandchildren, Christian, Devon, Kara, Emily, and Mitchell, sisters, Doris Bowman, of Lebanon, and Christine and husband Melvin Stauffer of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister-in-laws, Evelyn Fausnacht of Elizabethtown, and Shirley Fausnacht, of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Linda Jane (Luttman) Fausnacht. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Palmyra, with Pastor David Harris officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Masonic Services at 7:30 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078, and on Thursday from 9 a.m. till time of service at the church. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery, Annville.
