M. shabodeho@aol.com December 27, 2011, 7:21 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on December 21, 2011 Fiore Fecondo JONESTOWN Fiore "Steve" Fecondo, 91, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011, in Swatara Twp. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth C. Kulp Fecondo. Born in Italy, on November 14, 1920, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Antonietta Fecondo. Steve was self-employed and was still working as a masonry contractor. He served during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was stationed in the Ascension Islands as a radio operator. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in Jonestown and was instrumental in its construction. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a 60 year member of the Jonestown American Legion. He is survived by his son, Dennis Fecondo of Jonestown; brother, Anthony Fecondo of Yorktown, Va.; sister, Jeanette Tivani of Lebanon; grandchildren, Gretchen Daub and Gwen Fecondo; and a great-grandson, Caleb. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, US Rt. 22 & N. Mill St., Jonestown. Viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon.
