  Paul J. Felty Jr. 
  
  MIDDLETOWN Paul J. Felty, Jr., 83, formerly of Union Deposit/Hershey, passed 
  away at Frey Village Retirement Center in Middletown on Tuesday, March, 8 2011, 
  after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Born on November 30, 1927, in Lebanon, 
  he was the son of the late Paul J., Sr. and Emma M. Felty. Paul graduated from 
  Lebanon High School in 1945 and started his career with AMP Inc. in 1951. After 
  38 years at AMP, Paul retired as Manager of the Technical Publications 
  Department in 1989. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Elaine R. (Kuntz) 
  Felty; two sons, Jeffrey and his wife, Fay, and Todd and his wife, Lori, both 
  of Hummelstown; four grandsons, Robert, Ryan, Edward, and Sean; and a sister, 
  Hazel Swisher and her husband, Ken. He was preceded in death by a brother, 
  Edgar. Both Paul and Elaine were active members of the Union Deposit United 
  Methodist Church. Paul was very active in serving the community and pursuing 
  his hobbies and interests. He was a ham radio operator for many years (WB3HEC). 
  He served on the Lower Dauphin School Board and the local Lions Club. Paul was 
  a part time professional photographer for weddings and portraits. In his 
  younger years, he traveled most of the east coast playing tenor saxophone in 
  big band era groups including Saxie Dowell, The Johnny Eckert Band, and The Red 
  McCarthy Band of Hershey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. 
  in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Hershey. A viewing will be held 
  one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Hanoverdale Cemetery.
