Finkbiner, 90, died Monday, September 5, 2011, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Winfield J. Finkbiner, who died in 2000. Born in Royersford, on February 2, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Mary Ziegler Gottshall. Elva was a graduate of Royersford High School, and was a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren, Hershey Horticultural Society, Harrisburg Garden Club, and a lifetime member and past president and chairman of the flower shows for the Lebanon County Flower Club. She was the salutatorian of her high school class, leader of the Water Works 4H Club for 20 years, and was an avid gardener and flower arranger. Surviving are two sons, Winfield J. Finkbiner, Jr. of Ono, and David W. Finkbiner and wife, Debra of Annville; three daughters, Judith Ann, wife of Donald F. Pentz of Greenwood, Wis., Jane E., wife of John Looney of Lewistown, and Mary E., wife of Edward Zerman of Annville; one brother, Wayne Gottshall of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Anna Heinly of Lititz; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Elva was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be held in South Annville Cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
