Forney, 81, died Thursday, October 13, 2011, in Countryside Christian Community, N. Annville Twp. He was the husband of June Himmelberger Forney and the late Naomi Brightbill Forney. Born in Lebanon, on March 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Clarence B., Sr. and Dorothy E. Houser Forney. He retired after 15 years of service as a truck driver for Jonas Donmoyer Trucking, Ono, and prior to that was a long time dairy farmer in South Annville Twp. Earl was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School, attended Ono United Methodist Church, and was a member of Midway Church of the Brethren, where he was a Sunday school teacher of the Adult Bible Class and a Lay Minister just celebrating his 50th year in the Ministry in 2010. He was a talented woodworker, collected coins, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Glenn D., husband of Sue Forney of Annville; two daughters, Marie, wife of Nelson Kling of Lancaster, and Debra A. Forney and companion, Carl Meyerhoffer of Cleona; five grandchildren, Jared Kling, Crystal Zellner, Cori Summer, Kate Kreps, and Molly Forney; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence B. Forney, Jr. and wife, Mabel of Lebanon; and a maternal aunt. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, at 11 a.m. from the Midway Church of the Brethren, 13 Evergreen Road, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be held in Gingrich Mennonite Cemetery, N. Cornwall Twp. Viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville, and on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
