Fox LEBANON Mildred Pauline Fox nee Miller, 104, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Cedar Haven, where she resided for the past several years. Mrs. Fox was born March 7, 1907, in Cleona, to the late Aaron and Kate Miller. Mrs. Fox, "Mick" to her friends and family, was employed at the Frackville Pajama Factory and was a forelady in the inspection department of the Nomend Hosiery Co. During the Depression, she crocheted granny blankets and picture hat lapel pins to help support her family. Mrs. Fox enjoyed volunteering for the Lebanon County Senior Citizens Center, making candy and hoagies for the fire company fundraisers, and playing the piano and organ. Mrs. Fox, accompanied by her sisters, sang as a choral group at the First Evangelical Congregational Church in Lebanon, where she was a member for most of her adult life. Mrs. Fox enjoyed homemaking and especially cooking and baking. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren always looked forward to her home-baked cookies and cakes. In addition to her love of home and family, she was an avid Phillies fan. Young at heart even in her eighties, Mrs. Fox was spotted making snow angels in her yard, much to her neighbor's amusement. Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul A. Fox, Sr.; an infant son, Donald Allen Fox; and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Constance Piszczek and husband, Leonard of Zionville, N.C., Paul Allen Fox, Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Butler, Tenn., and Gail Massar and husband, Richard of Lebanon. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene Eberly and Lena Miller, both of Lebanon. In addition to her children, she is survived by 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be made in Ebenezer Greenwood/Covenant Cemetery.
