Fredrickson, 94, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Stone Ridge Village in Myerstown. He was the husband of Beatrice (Noll) Fredrickson, with whom he celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 12, 2010. Born May 2, 1916, in Long Island City, N.Y., he was the son of the late Emil and Wilma (Langrock) Fredrickson. Mr. Fredrickson was a graduate of Colgate University in 1936 with a degree in Chemistry. He was employed for 29 years by E.J. Lavino in Sheridan, as Chief Chemist, Assistant Superintendent in Lynchburg, Va., and Assistant to the VP of Research and Development in Philadelphia. In 1967 he joined Chemical Construction Company, New York City, N.Y., retiring in 1982. In addition to his wife, Mr. Fredrickson is survived by a daughter, Linda (John) Boudman of Hershey; and two sons, Dr. Robert (Julie) Fredrickson, D.D.S. of Williamsport and Thomas (Michelle) Fredrickson of Atlantic Highlands, N.J. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth (Fredrickson) Sell of Long Island City, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. He was a Charter Member of the Myerstown Lions Club; Williamson Masonic Lodge, Womelsdorf; life member of the Industrial Management Club of Lebanon; member of Friedens Lutheran Church, where he served on the council and building committee; and Elks Lodge in East Brunswick, N.J. He was instrumental in the organizing, planning, and construction of community swimming pools in Myerstown, Lynchburg, Va., and Womelsdorf. His special joys in life were reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. A public memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Friedens Lutheran Church, Rt. 422, Myerstown.
