  MYERSTOWN Charlotte J. "Sally" Friel, 90, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at her 
  residence. She was the wife of Robert G. Friel to whom she would have been 
  married 68 years on August 17. Born in Scranton, on November 3, 1920, she was 
  the daughter of the late Harry E. and Helen V. (Boyle) Mahar. A graduate of 
  Central High School, Scranton, she worshipped in the Catholic faith. In 
  addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Patricia L. Friel of 
  Baltimore, Md., Nancy R. wife of Ronald Maas of Bridgeville, Del., Barbara A. 
  wife of Robert Artz of Denver, Kristine M. wife of David Hill of Hopatcong, 
  N.J.; son, R. Timothy husband of Lucy Friel of Califon, N.J.; 12 
  grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 
  three brothers and a sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on 
  Monday, August 8, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. from Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, 
  188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Grose Funeral 
  Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Interment at Indiantown Gap National 
  Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to 
  the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
