Garrison, 78, formerly of Palmyra, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at the Lebanon Valley Home. Born May 25, 1932, in E. Hanover Township, Dauphin County, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertie (Seaman) Pankake. A retired secretary from Dechert Dynamics, Palmyra, she was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, Palmyra, where she was in the choir and served as primary department teacher and Sunday School superintendent. She was the widow of LeRoy A. Garrison, who died in 1986, and was also preceded in death by siblings, George Pankake, Ruth Dechert, May Juran, Josephine Grubb, Warren Pankake, John Pankake, and Paul Pankake. Surviving are her brothers, Christian, husband of Janet Pankake of Austin, and Donald Pankake of Grantville. She was a very special aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at her church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, both at the church.
