Nellie B. Garrison 
 
JONESTOWN Nellie B. Garrison, 90, passed away at Manor Care in Lebanon on 
Thursday, January 6, 2011. She was the wife of the late Okey W. Garrison. She 
was born in Rockingham County, Va., on January 17, 1920. She was the daughter 
of the late William Tusing and Emma Florence Silverus. Mrs. Garrison was a 
former member of Four Square Gospel Church, Rockwood. She is survived by sons, 
Wilson and wife, Mary Garrison of Lebanon, and Nelson and wife, Barbara 
Garrison of Lebanon; daughters, Betty Deaven of Lebanon, and Fay, wife of 
Russell Yingst of Jonestown; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 10 great-
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Nellie was preceded in 
death by her husband; a son, Okey D. Garrison; a grandson, Kenneth O. Yingst; 
brothers, Michael, Robert, and Adrian Tusing; and sisters, Vada Rhoades, Edith 
Seibert, and Anna Fenner. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 
12, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., 508 Cumberland St., 
Lebanon, 17042 with the Rev. John Whitman, pastor of Living Waters Chapel, 
Lebanon, officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the 
service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Shells Cemetery, East Hanover 
Twp., Dauphin County.
