  Rachael N. Garst 
  
  HERSHEY Rachael Naomi (Schell) Garst, 84, passed away peacefully with family 
  by her side on Thursday, July 28, 2011. She and her loving husband, Lawrence 
  F. Garst, celebrated 45 years of marriage, prior to his death in April, 1988. 
  She was born in North Annville Twp., on Saturday, April 16, 1927, to the late 
  Jacob Vernon and Minnie Minerva (Eisenhour) Schell. She was a 1940 graduate of 
  Clearspring Elementary School, and a longtime member of the First United 
  Methodist Church, Palmyra. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia E. 
  VonNieda and husband, Terry G. of Palmyra, and Jenna S. Fureman and husband, 
  Donald E. of Palmyra; five grandchildren, Lorrie Ann Miller of Columbia, Terry 
  L. VonNieda and wife, Rebecca of Lewisberry, Donald Fureman, Jr. and wife, 
  Angie of Annville, Nancy L. Schoemaker and husband, William of Dover, and 
  Tonya L. Hall and husband, Dave of Linglestown; three great-grandchildren, 
  Olivia Grace Fureman, Madelyn Noelle Fureman, and Preston Monroe Hall; and 
  siblings, Ferne Chronister of Palmyra, Blanche Keller of Annville, Forrest 
  Schell of Lebanon, Paul Schell of Mechanicsburg, and Carol Light of Lebanon. 
  She was predeceased by a brother, Vernon Schell. A funeral service will be 
  held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & 
  Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078, with the Rev. Dr. 
  David P. Harris officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 
  10:30 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 
  Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.
