  Robert W. Gassert 
  
  MANHEIM Robert W. Gassert, 94, died Thursday, January 27, 2011, at the Mt. Hope 
  Nazarene Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Jonestown, on March 10, 1916, 
  he was the son of the late George and Mary Jane Brough Gassert. Robert was a 
  well driller with Kohl Brothers well drilling in Myerstown. He was a member of 
  Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon and a member of Elstonville Sportsman 
  Club. He is survived by two daughters, Janice M., wife of Gary W. Phillips, and 
  Barbara A., wife of Larry Harvey, both of Lebanon; one brother, Ralph Gassert 
  of Pine Grove; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was 
  preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria J. Hoffer; four brothers, Francis, 
  John, Harry, and George Gassert; four sisters Verna Fink, Carrie Gassert, 
  Stella Long, and Dorothy Gassert; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will 
  be held at the convenience of the family. Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & 
  Crematory, Jonestown, is in charge of the arrangements.
