Gensler, 58, formerly of Palmyra, died Friday, October 14, 2011, surrounded by his closest loved ones, after bravely battling cancer for several years. He was the husband of Betsy Espina Gensler of Colorado, whom he married on June 1, 1985. Born at Fort Indiantown Gap Army Hospital, on June 7, 1953, he was the son of Barbara Feeman Rhoads of Marietta, Ga., (formerly of Lebanon) and the late Robert C. Gensler, Palmyra. He was President of Parkwood Realty, as well as a Real Estate Broker. A 1971 graduate of Palmyra High School, Steve was an accomplished athlete playing varsity football, basketball and baseball. He attended Kent State University on a football scholarship and later Long Beach State University, California. Steve was a loving father and husband who most enjoyed spending time with his family and travelled extensively with them. His spontaneity, great personality, smile and positive attitude in all things, whether in business or his personal life, will be greatly missed. He remained an avid sports fan, skier and golfer. Although living in Colorado, Steve visited Pennsylvania often and remained close to family and friends here. In addition to his devoted wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Ryan Samuel, Chad Robert, and Matthew Ross all of Colorado; step-father Robert Rhoads of Georgia; two aunts, Patrica Mckinney and Rosemarie Miller of Lebanon and cousins: Suzanne Neuin, Lynne Farkas, Bonnie Mckinney, Vicki Deitzler and Michelle Ebersole of Lebanon. Services were held at Risen Christ Catholic Church in Denver Colorado on October 18, 2011. Locally, a memorial service and Mass will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011, 6 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, Palmyra.
