Gingrich, 94, died Monday, September 19, 2011 in the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra. He was the husband of Naomi White Gingrich who died in 2005 to whom he was married to for 65 years. Born on the family farm in South Annville Twp. on January 1, 1917, he was the son of the late Harry and Minnie Gingrich Gingrich. In his early years, he farmed the Gingrich family farm with his brother-in-law, George Snavely. He was later employed as a salesman for G & G Feed and Supply, Manheim, and was a former employee of Eastern States, Annville, and Agway, Lebanon. Following retirement, he designed and made many baskets for family and friends as well as donating some to benefit auctions. Norman was a graduate of Annville High School and a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren, where he served as a Deacon his entire life. He was also a Sunday school teacher of the Loyal Bible Class and a Congregational Moderator of several terms. Surviving are a son, Clyde E. Gingrich of Tucson, Ariz.; five daughters, Mary G. wife of Joseph Martin of Camp Hill, Martha A. Gingrich of East Petersburg, Janet Gingrich of Bridgewater, N.J., Joyce G. wife of Kevin Rosborough of Palmyra, Carol J. wife of Thomas Parry of Hernando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Michelle Appel, Sara Kaye, Mark Gingrich, Andrew Rosborough; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by and infant daughter, Lucille Gingrich; two brothers, John and Paul Gingrich; and a sister, Martha Snavely. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 25, at 3 p.m. from the Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be held in South Annville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
