Griffie, 65, passed on Friday evening, March 4, 2011, at home with her loving husband and son by her side. She was born on March 26, 1945, in Lebanon, to the late Mark J. and Alice M Kegerreis Bucher. Marian retired from the payroll department of the Worrell Corp., formerly the Penna. Dutch Candies, of Mt. Holly Springs. She was a member of the Carlisle Church of the Brethren and was the church organist. In her youth she was a member of the 4-H Club, and she enjoyed camping, reading, flower gardening, and listening to the birds. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Charles O. Griffie; her loving son, Joseph W. Pompeo of Mechanicsburg; and a brother, Leon Bucher and his wife, Donna of W. Peru, Maine. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Carlisle Church of the Brethren, 1340 Forge Road, Carlisle. Officiating will be her pastors, Jim and Marla Abe. Interment will be held in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs 17065.
