Gruber PALMYRA Grace Irene (Farver) Gruber, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2011 surrounded by her loving family in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Monday, March 7, 1927 in Conewago Township to the late Samuel R. and Annie L. (Kaylor) Farver. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Clair T. Gruber, on Friday, June 25, 2010. She graduated from Hershey High School in 1944 and was a member of Campbelltown American Legion Post 831 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving and selfless soul with a giving heart, and loved her family beyond measure. She is survived by a son, Thomas Gruber of Carlisle; a daughter, Tammi (Gruber) Keilholtz and husband Keith of Arizona; four grandchildren, Kristi Gruber of Harrisburg, Jamie Gruber and wife Leah of Carlisle, Kaitlin Keilholtz, and Kirk Keilholtz and fiance Brendan Ballew of Arizona; two great-granddaughters, Ava and Hannah Gruber of Carlisle; a sister, Patricia Custer of Palmyra. She was preceded in death by an infant son; three brothers, Glenn, Harold and Samuel Farver; a sister, A. Jean Pearl. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra with Reverend John P. Ludwig, Jr. officiating. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
