  George T. Guare  
  
  MYERSTOWN George T. Guare, 89, of StoneRidge Towne Center, and formerly of 
  Edward Ave., Lebanon, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at StoneRidge. He was 
  the husband of the late Bernice (Bleistein) Guare, to whom he was married for 
  60 years. Born in Lebanon, on August 7, 1921, he was a son of the late Joseph 
  P. and Helen (Steel) Guare. He was retired from the former Bethlehem Steel 
  Corporation. He was a member of St. Marks United Church of Christ. He enjoyed 
  golfing and bowling. He is survived by a daughter, Judy J. Shaak, of Lebanon; a 
  step daughter, Carol Lengle, of Lebanon; a step son, John J. Warlow, of San 
  Antonio, Texas; a daughter in law, Gloria Guare, of Lebanon; 5 grandchildren; 9 
  great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Mease, of Lebanon and Anna Mae Funk, 
  of Orlando, Fla.; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 
  a son, George T. Guare Jr.; two brothers, William and Joseph Guare; and a 
  sister, Mary Mellott. There will be no services, these were his wishes.  
  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon is entrusted with the 
  arrangements.
