Born in Lebanon, he graduated from Lebanon High School in 1953 and from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu in 1972 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. Mr. Haag was a U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant retiring in 1979 after 22 years of service. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Haag worked as a Computer Programmer for Colonial Penn Insurance Company and than for General Electric Company retiring in 2000. Mr. Haag was a member of the Media Presbyterian Church. He was a Deacon and was instrumental with the Church Bus Ministry. He went on nine summer mission trips to Mars Hill, N.C., to help build houses with Habitat for Humanity and also helped to build wheelchair ramps. Mr. Haag had numerous building projects with the church in Chester. He was a member of MPC Senior Craftsmen and a long-time mentor with the youth through MPC. He supported many youth activities in Rose Tree Media School District, especially boys' lacrosse and the Penncrest Science Olympiad team. He was a member of the Birding Club of Delaware County and a counter at the Rose Tree Park Hawk Watch sponsored by BCDC. Mr. Haag enjoyed camping, fishing, baseball, and hard-shell crabs. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Member of Aloha Shriners. He was pre-deceased by his father, Charles Haag. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Christine C. Blidan; mother, Julia Haag of Lebanon; daughters, Robin LaDuke of Florida, Lori Walker of North Carolina, Karen Nobles of Florida; brothers, Dennis (Arlene) Haag and Donald (Marian) Haag, both of Lebanon; sister, Sandra (Art) Keller of Lebanon; mother and father-in-law, Ernest and Shirley Blidan of Media; four grandchildren, Brandon Patterson, Chelsye Nobles, Loryn Nobles and Brianna Walker. Also survived by two great- grandchildren. His dear friends, David, Eric and Jamie Rakoczy, all of Media, Pa. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Media Presbyterian Church, 30 E. Baltimore Ave. Media, PA. 19063. Memorial worship service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home 15 E. 4th St. Media, PA.
