  LEBANON Eleanor B. Harvey, 81, of Cedar Haven Nursing Home, died Tuesday, 
  January 25, 2011, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the 
  late John C. Harvey. Born in Lebanon, on August 22, 1929, Eleanor was the 
  daughter of the late Simon and Bessie Gross Carpenter. Eleanor had a passion 
  for cooking and loved shopping. She was a member of Victory Lighthouse in 
  Lickdale. She is survived by three children, Diana L., wife of Richard L. Hoke 
  of Lebanon, John K. Harvey of Lebanon, and Mary B., wife of Gary Hammer of 
  Jonestown; five grandchildren, Shelley White, Lisa DePugh, Jamie Hoke, Rachael 
  Frain, and Gabrielle Bender; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-
  grandchildren; one brother, Richard Carpenter of Myerstown; one sister, Mary 
  Gassert of Myerstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death 
  by several brothers and sisters. Funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. from 
  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Interment at Quentin 
  Cemetery. Viewing hours Sunday evening 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday morning 10 to 11 
  a.m. at the funeral home.
