Hipple, 86, passed away as the result of an accident on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. She was the wife of Marlin S. Hipple who died in 1989. Born in Middletown she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ada Heisey. Ethel was presently employed by M&M Mars, Elizabethtown, where she has worked for the past 11 years. She was previously employed at the Hershey Chocolate Factory for 29 years. Ethel loved playing BINGO at St. Peters in Elizabethtown. She was a great cook and baker and was devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hipple; and a daughter, Joan Groff. She is survived by her daughter, Carol, wife of Carl Weaver, Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren: Jill Howard, Chrystal Visconti, Jolene Fink, George Groff, II, Jennifer Hipple, Adam Weaver, Katrina Hipple and Nicholas Burns; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Roeting of Elizabethtown and Esther Shiner of Lebanon; and one brother, Marlin Heisey of Highspire. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown at 11 a.m. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Shenks Cemetery.
