He was the husband of Hazel V. "Margaret" Hoke, who passed away in 2007. He was born in Lebanon, on December 24, 1923, a son of the late Isaac and Eva Bender Hoke. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1942 and had served in the 8th Air Force in Burtonwood, England, during WWII. He was retired from Olmstead AF Base in Middletown with over 23 years of service and had also retired from PennDot with over 20 years of service. He was a member of the Lincoln Republican Club, Rural Security Fire Co., Liberty Fire Company Marching Club, Lebanon VFW Post #23, and Independent Fire Co. He is survived by a son, Kurt F. and wife, Eleanor M. Hoke of Lebanon; grandchildren, Katrina L., wife of Christopher Kelly, Jonathan D. and wife, Stephanie Hoke, Lori A. Hoke, and David L. Hoke; great-grandchildren, Grant Hoke, Grace Hoke, Kyler Hoke, and Sabrina Hoke; sister, Anna Herr of Middletown; a niece, a nephew, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Erik Hoke. Funeral services will be Friday 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 5th and Cumberland Sts., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery.
