  ASHEVILLE, NC Ann Minnich Hollyday, 84, formerly of Bridgewater, Va., and 
  Hershey, died on Sunday, February 13, 2011, in the home of her daughter in 
  Asheville, N.C., following a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. Born in 
  Waynesboro, on February 24, 1926, Ann was the daughter of the late Bertha 
  Hollinger Minnich and the late William Earl Minnich. A graduate of Bucknell 
  University, she was a beloved teacher, avid learner, and devoted Christian 
  disciple, with a special love for music and flower gardening. Ann was the widow 
  of Robert David Hollyday (d. 2002). She died peacefully amidst the loving care 
  of her three daughters, Kay Filar of Davidson, N.C., Joyce Hollyday of 
  Asheville, and Debra Link of Bluffton, S.C. She also is survived by five 
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Ann will take 
  place at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Johnson Funeral Service, 208 S. Main St., 
  Bridgewater, Va., with burial to follow at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, 
  Va.
