Holsopple HUMMELSTOWN Margaret Elizabeth "Betty" Taylor Holsopple, 63, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Hershey Medical Center. Born May 30, 1947 in Augusta, Ga., Betty was the daughter of the late Earl Clifton and Marjorie (Smith) Taylor of Belews Creek, N.C. Most recently, she was the Community Engagement Liaison for Lebanon County, with the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13. Passionate about children and their access to quality child care and education, her work with Quality Early Learning of Lebanon County will be missed. She also worked with Special Kids Network in Hershey. Before that, for many years, she worked in human resources with employers including USF&G Insurance and ITT Business Communications. She earned a B.A. in Social Science from Western Carolina University. Betty was an avid sports fan, traveler, baker, loving mother, and caring friend. She was the widow and best friend of H. Glenn Holsopple, Jr., who died November 2001. Surviving are her daughter, Susanna Lee of Arlington, Va.; her son, Ryan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; her brother, Bill Taylor and his wife, Jackie; her sister-in-law, Gretchen (Holsopple) Griffith and her husband, Van Griffith; her niece, Jennifer (Griffith) Robinson and her husband, Mark; her nephew, Allen Griffith, his wife, Charlotte, and their daughters, Gracie and Reagan; and her beloved cat, Sebastian. A graveside service, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 5676 Old Walkertown Road, Walkertown, N.C., where she will be buried beside her late husband, together forever. Funeral arrangements are being being cared for by Vogler and Sons Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston Salem, N.C.
