He is a son of Clara Heverly Hooper, Pine Grove and the late Robert Hooper. He attended Calvary Independent Church, Lykens. Bill served with the Navy during the Vietnam war, which he was very proud of. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was talented at making and playing the violin. He enjoyed being a member of the Tea Party. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert. Surviving in addition to his mother, one daughter, Michelle Smith, Jonestown; two sisters, Shirley Graham, Lebanon and Jackie Freysinger, Hummelstown; and a dear friends Julie Vanlaningham, Williamstown. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City PA., to help with expenses.
