Horning, 56, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Lancashire Hall after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Charles B. Horning and Elsie Oberholtzer Horning Gockley. He was formerly employed by Hershey Foods Corporation. Glenn enjoyed traveling, hiking, reading and was affiliated with the Mennonite church. He is survived by brothers, Carl E. husband of Erma Clymer Horning of Lebanon; Ray C. husband of Roberta Reaser Horning of Lancaster; sister, Ellen wife of Mark G. Sensenig of Ephrata; nieces and nephews; step-brothers, Glenn B. husband of Margaret Weber Gockley of Mohnton; Sidney W. husband of Donna Horst Gockley of Reinholds; step-sisters, Kay E. wife of James E. Landis of Hamburg; Jean E. Frysinger of Mountain City, Tenn. He was preceded in death by step-father, Harry C. Gockley; and step-brothers, Charles and Lynn Gockley. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Krall's Mennonite Church, 2514 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9 to 10 a.m., both at the church. Interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Lancaster County. Clauser Funeral Home, Inc. of Schaeffestown is in charge of his arrangements.
