He was born on Monday, August 4, 1924, to the late Paul I. Horst and Ellen R. Horst nee Dundore in Lebanon. He was a member of Avon Zion United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Navy in World War II and served in the South Pacific. Mark worked for Bayer/Sterling Drug and played violin in Hershey Orchestra for 20 years. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Cora M. Horst nee Cabana; sons, Robert Horst of Daytona, Fla., and William J., spouse of Donna Horst of Lebanon; daughter, Kathleen, spouse of Gregg Snyder of Palmyra; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by sons, James Horst, Kenneth Horst, and Thomas Horst; daughter, Barbara Horst Miller; and grandchild, Jared Horst. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
