Houser, 72, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. He was the husband of RoseMarie A. (Luciotti) Houser. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 28, 2011. Born in Palmyra, on August 29, 1938, he was the son of the late Harold and Sylvia (Bolen) Houser. Kenneth was the original owner and president of R & K Subs & Enterprises in Palmyra. He was a graduate of Palmyra High School and received a full football scholarship from the University of Maryland. He was a 1957 member of the Pennsylvania Big 33 and was inducted into the Palmyra High School Sports Hall of Fame. He was an outstanding athlete in football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. He was an assistant football coach at Lebanon Catholic High School in the late 80's and played for the Philadelphia Eagles in the early 60's. He was an avid Penn State and Maryland fan. He was a loving devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach and watching his grandchildren play sports. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert, husband of Virginia Adams of Lebanon. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Bobby Michael, husband of Ashley Adams, Angela Marie, wife of Rick Reinhart, and Gregory B. Adams; four great-grandchildren, Dalton and Tyler Reinhart, Braydin Adams, and Alexis Adams; two sisters, Darlene, wife of Curtis Smith, and Ruth Ann, wife of Bob Forney; and a brother, Harold, husband of Pat Houser. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Lee Houser. Funeral Mass Wednesday morning 10 a.m. from St. Benedict The Abbot Church, 1300 Lehman St., Lebanon 17046. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042.
