Isabel E. Hummer 
 
LEBANON Isabel E. Hummer, 100, beloved wife and mother, died Thursday, January 
6, 2011, in the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She was the wife of 
the late Milton E. Hummer. She was born in Wenksville, on March 24, 1910, 
daughter of the late Wilbie and Etta Showers Tuckey. She was a faithful member 
of The First Baptist Church, Lebanon, for over 60 years. Isabel obtained a 
nursing degree in Harrisburg prior to being employed by the former Lebanon 
Sanatorium. She is survived by her sons, Milton T. Hummer and his wife, Nancy 
of Arkansas, and Burton E. Hummer and his wife, Annette of Virginia; daughter, 
Sherry and her husband, John Rowe of Lewisburg; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-
grandchildren; sisters, Gaye DeSimon of Gettysburg and Ethel Kuntz of York 
Springs; and brother, Burton Tuckey of Wenksville. She was preceded in death by 
seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. 
in the Wenksville U.M.C., 210 Wenksville Road, Biglerville, PA 17307. Interment 
will be made in the adjoining cemetery. The Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon, is 
handling the arrangements.
