Jamison PALMYRA John Wesley Jamison, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 29 years, Janet (Copenhaver) Jamison, in 1990. He was born Monday, April 9, 1934, in Campbelltown, to the late Charles E. and Emma (Eckert) Jamison. He graduated from Hershey High School, served in the U.S. Army, and worked for the Federal Government for 42 years. He is survived by a son, John W. Jamison, Jr. and wife, Jaime of Trooper; two daughters, Jacqueline A. Jamison of Glenside and Jennifer J. Martyniak of Media; a grandson, Zachary Weir; a brother, Charles Jamison and wife, Mildred of Elizabethtown; and two sisters, Anna Maude Fake and husband, Roger of Palmyra, and Esther Gordon and husband, John of Palmyra. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, James Martyniak; a granddaughter, Jocelyn Martyniak; a brother, James Jamison; and a sister, Florence Kapp. Graveside services with full military honors will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with the Rev. Richard A. Clark officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation on today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.
