M. shabodeho@aol.com January 14, 2011, 1:04 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on January 7, 2011 Winslow Johnson LEBANON Winslow Johnson, 82, died in his residence on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was the son of the late Louie and Katie Jackson Johnson. He was born in Sheridan, on November 10, 1928, was a 1946 graduate of the Millcreek Township High School, and graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 1953. He was a retired clerk, having worked for the New Cumberland Military Installation. He was a longtime member of St. John AME Church, Lebanon, where he had served on the finance and stewardship committees as well as being a trustee, lay leader, and member of the usher board. He was an avid tennis player and was a member of the former Central PA Tennis Club. He also played baseball for the Newmanstown High School and the Newmanstown Maroons Twilight Baseball team. He is survived by sisters, Lois Stockton of Lebanon, Katherine Harewood of Lancaster, and Carol J. Hayes of Lebanon; brother, Edward L. Johnson of Harrisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Louie, Harold, Charles, Richard, Leroy, and Robert Johnson; and sisters, Georgette E. "Betty" Johnson and Bertha Johnson. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 5th and Cumberland Sts., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown.
