Kahlbaugh died peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2011, at Van Rensselaer Manor. He was born March 25, 1927, in Chester, the son of the late Ralph and Dorothy Feeser Kahlbaugh. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Frederick Kahlbaugh. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Louise Yorty Kahlbaugh, formerly of Cornwall; four children; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. As a young man, George served in the Army as a Second Lieutenant in WWII. In his later years, he was the sole caretaker of his wife, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's nearly 12 years ago, showing her his lasting and profound love. His wisdom and sense of humor will be missed forever.
