  LEBANON Howard J. Kale, 78, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Kathy E. (Brown) Kale, to 
  whom he was married 30 years on February 28. His first wife Eleanor Seltzer 
  Kale, died in 1977. Born in Lebanon on January 12, 1933, he was the son of the 
  late Howard and Eleanor (Birch) Kale. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School 
  and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He had been employed 
  at Bethlehem Steel, Lebanon for many years, retiring in 1985. He was a member 
  of Myerstown U.C.C. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters , Kim 
  wife of David Lutz of Jonestown, Jodi wife of James Lesher of Jonestown and 
  Tanya wife of Russell Matuszak of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Jeffrey Kale of 
  Lebanon; step daughter, Cheri wife of Michael Beck of Middletown and Sheila 
  wife of Larry Hartman of Harrisburg; half brother, Robert husband of Betty 
  Birch of Annville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step 
  grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his buddy, his cat Julius. He was 
  preceded in death by a step granddaughter, Nicole Kotay. Funeral services will 
  be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., 
  Myerstown. Viewing Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment with full military honors, 
  will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 
  Annville. A procession will form at Grose Funeral Home, Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
