Katzaman entered into the waiting arms of the Lord Jesus Christ on November 18, 2011, to hear those words he had so longed to hear "well done, my good and faithful servant." The funeral service was be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Heritage Church with Rev. Ron Barnard and Rev. John Gardner, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Reverend Katzaman was a veteran of the U.S.A.F. where he served for 25 years. He served in Korea twice, first in 1952 and again in 1968. While serving, he was instrumental in establishing a Korean Assembly of God church. Shortly after retiring from the Air Force in 1976 he started the Assembly of God Church in Henrietta, Texas where he served the church for six years until accepting a calling for the Assembly of God church in Freer, Texas. After only a year of service, Reverend Katzaman's health began to fail and he was forced to retire from preaching. Reverend Katzaman then returned to Wichita Falls where he drove a school bus for both Henrietta ISD and Wichita Falls ISD until he retired in May of 1998. After retiring, Reverend Katzaman enjoyed taking summer trips with his wife Irene in their RV. Reverend Katzaman also volunteered for the Meals on Wheels and the Red Door of Wichita Falls, and was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 41. Reverend Katzaman was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Katzaman, and his father, David Katzaman of Lake Jackson, Michigan; and his brothers, John Katzaman of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, and Allen Katzaman of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Irene Noami Kline Katzaman. They were married on August 29, 1953, and have since shared their lives together for over 58 years. In that time, they had three children, Carol Ann Tucker of Corpus Christi, Carl Alan and wife Laura, and Clyde Andrew and wife Terri all of Wichita Falls. He has five grandchildren, Pam Tucker of Corpus Christi, Tracy Paterson, Carl A. Katzaman III, Candace Burris, and Casey Katzaman all of Wichita Falls. He also has two sisters, Emma Brenkus of Buffalo, New York, and Josephine Shirk of Idaho; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
