M. shabodeho@aol.com April 4, 2011, 9:04 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on April 2, 2011 Earl F. Keller Sr. ANNVILLE Earl F. Keller, Sr., 89, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Blanche Schell Keller. They had celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in February, 2011. Born in Cressona, on December 18, 1921, he was the son of the late Earl S. and Edna M. Hawk Keller. Earl served in the European theatre during WWII with the U.S. Army. He worked as a body mechanic for Hitz and Spahr until he retired. He was a member of Palmyra Brethren in Christ Church and a member of the Annville American Legion Post 559. He also enjoyed watching the Phillies and bowling. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Robert L. Keller, husband of Cynthia of Annville; one daughter, Sandra K,. wife of Ray Young of Myerstown; five brothers, Arthur Keller of Cleona, Homer Keller, husband of Dorothy of Annville, Walter Keller, husband of Betty of Myerstown, David Keller, husband of Maureen of Tannersville, and Marvin Keller, husband of Miriam of Dillsburg; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by two sons, Francis M. "Pat" Keller and Earl F. Keller Jr.; a daughter, Virginia Ellen Keller; three brothers, Robert, Wilbur, and Stanley Keller; two sisters, Thelma Walters and Shirley Ickes; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5, at 11 a.m. from the Palmyra Brethren in Christ Church, 616 W. Main St., Palmyra 17078. Interment will be held at Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, N. Lebanon Twp. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
