  Robert E. Kercher 
   
  LEBANON Robert E. Kercher, 67, died Friday December 9, 2011, at the Good 
  Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Carol Reinhold Kercher with 
  whom he celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary in September. Born in 
  Lebanon on July 26, 1944, he was the son of the late Calvin L. Sr. and Arvilla 
  Garrett Kercher. Robert was a 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School and was a 
  foreman at Kercher Machine Works in Lebanon for the past 50 years. He is a 
  member of the Palmyra American Legion and the World War Memorial Association, 
  Post 72, Palmyra. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, going to the mountains 
  with his family, and admiring the beauty of nature. He was an avid hunter. He 
  also enjoyed gardening and loved to share his expertise with family and 
  friends. He was a very loving and caring man, and always was ready to lend a 
  helping hand whenever there was a need. He attended services at the Faith 
  Baptist Church in Lebanon as well as the Lebanon Church of the Brethren. 
  Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Ken A. Kercher and wife, Lynne 
  of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter. Lori A. Kercher of Harrisburg; three 
  brothers. Calvin L. Kercher, Jr. and wife. Judy of Myerstown, Charles Kercher 
  and wife. Jackie and Michael Kercher. both of Lebanon; one sister. Roberta 
  wife of John Mentzer of Myerstown; two grandchildren Colin and Kyle Kercher. 
  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral 
  Home & Crematory 618 E. Main St. Annville. Interment will be held in Grand 
  View Memorial Park, Annville. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the 
  service at the funeral home.
