  LEBANON Helen S. Kurtz, 91, of Lebanon, formerly of Myerstown passed away 
  Monday, January 24, 2011 at Elmcroft of Lebanon where she had resided. Born in 
  Myerstown on October 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eva 
  Jones Smith. She was married to Dr. Walter Kurtz, whom preceded her in death. 
  Helen was a graduate of the Lebanon Business College. She was a member and past 
  president in 1958 of the PA Dental Aux, member of the American Cancer Society , 
  Isaac Myer House, and Women's Club of Myerstown. She was a member of Freidens 
  Lutheran Church, Myerstown. She was a proof reader for the Merchandiser for 
  over 20 years. She is survived by a daughter Judy K., wife of Dr. William 
  Hallahan, Lebanon. 3 grandchildren, Betsy, wife of Geoffrey Davis, John 
  Hallahan, and Susan, wife of Robert Glen, 5 Great Grandchildren, and a brother, 
  Ardell Smith, of Myerstown, also survive her. Relatives and friends are 
  respectfully invited to attend Helen's memorial service on Saturday, February 
  5, 2011 at 3:30 PM from the Ruffner-Porterfield Funeral Directors, 890 Isabel 
  Drive (next to Quentin Circle), Lebanon with Rev. Robert J. Kehrli officiating. 
  Interment will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown, at the convenience 
  of the family. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:30 to 3:30 
  PM Saturday.
