Lavage, 39, passed away with family by his side, on Friday, October 28, 2011 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born on Saturday, January 8, 1972 in Mishawaka, Ind. to his loving parents, William M. and Jean M. (Wargo) Lavage. He was a graduate of Palmyra Area High School, class of 1991 and had attended Harrisburg Area Community College. He was a broadcast engineer for WLBR. "Brandon the Cannon" also produced for WHP580 and co-hosted a sports talk show with Bob Bartel. Brandon, also known to his friends as "Barto," was an avid New England sports teams fan, with a special passion for the Red Sox, the Celtics, and the Patriots. Being baptized at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame University, he followed and supported most of their sports teams. He was a movie buff, enjoyed cooking, billiards and golf, and was a French bulldog lover. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Brent C. Lavage of Dover Del.; a nephew, Brent C. Lavage, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Rose Wargo of Wilkes Barre; and paternal grandmother, Florence Lavage of Wilkes Barre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 11 a.m., at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 West Pine St., Palmyra, with Fr. James F. Podlesny, OSB as celebrant. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, 17078 has been entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be at a later date, at Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Nanticoke.
