Lawson Sr., 72, passed away Saturday May 7, 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of Judy Bell Lawson. Thomas was born in Lebanon, on June 17, 1938, the son of the late Ernest T. and Helen (Smith) Lawson. Thomas was the owner and operator of Lawson Carpet Center for 25 years. He was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. He enjoyed fishing, Penn State Football, Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Redskins and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Mary's Church. Thomas was an Air Force veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife Judy, are five children, Dora Lawson wife of James Rodgers, Audrey Lawson Shirk, Thomas A. III husband of Trisha Lawson, Rose Lawson, Kimberly Lawson wife of Scott Braasch; nine grandchildren, Deavan Rodgers, Tia Still, Luke Lawson, Cassandra Lawson, Matthew Lawson, Leaha Lawson, Nacey Lawson, Tyler Braasch, Brendan Braasch; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald, Larry and Leonard Lawson; three sisters, Kathleen Johnson, Louise Johnson, Lynn Eisenhour; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. 126 S. 9th St. Lebanon. Interment with full military honors will be on Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing hours will be Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
