  OMAHA, NE Russell J. Leiss, formerly of Lebanon passed away on Tuesday, 
  September 20, 2011, in Omaha, Neb. He was born August 10, 1943, to the late 
  Elmer J. and Mildred M. Leiss, and is survived by his wife, Trudy; a sister, 
  Diana L. Beaver wife of Frederick W. Beaver; a brother, William E. Leiss, of 
  Lebanon; child, Barry Zentz of North Dakota; step-children, Debbie wife of 
  Kevin Pratte, Florida, Michelle, wife of Adam Mole, England; an aunt, Mary E. 
  Heilman, Jonestown; uncles Marlin E. Fitting, Bethlehem, and Robert C. 
  Fitting, Scottsdale, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and 
  nephews. He was predeceased by stepson, Ricky Washburn. He graduated from 
  Lebanon High School and is retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a life 
  member and past commander of the VFW and member and past web master of the 
  Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #2197. Memorial services will be 
  held at a later date in England, where he and his wife lived for many years.
