Light, 91, of the Calvary Fellowship Homes in Lancaster, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011, at the home. Born in Bunker Hill, on March 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Iren S. and Luella Miller Light. She was a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University and had worked for the Slavic Gospel Association as an RN. She served for 40 years in Alaska, Hawaii and Equador. While in Alaska she had worked in the I AM Radio Network in Bethel, Alaska, for the Voice for Christ Ministries. She was a member of the Berachah Church on Cheltenham, PA and volunteered in prison ministry, for the Crisis Pregnancy Center and the Water Street Rescue Mission in Lancaster. She is survived by her nephews, James M. Morrissey, Jr., and David G. husband, of Wendy Morrissey, both of Lebanon and Daniel P. husband of Janice Morrissey of Manheim; niece, H. Grace wife of Joel Harding of Jonestown; great-nieces and nephews, Shannon and James Michael, III and Olivia and James Michael, IV. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Hilda Morrissey and Irene Light. A celebration of Life service will be held Monday, June 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. There will be no viewing.
