Lineweaver, 89, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at ManorCare Health Services, Lebanon. He was the husband of Mary E. (Wenger) Lineweaver, to whom he was married 72 years on September 1, 2010. Born in Mt. Sydney, Va., on June 27, 1921, he was the son of the late Minor Lee and Anna Bell (Wetzel) Lineweaver. He was a 1938 graduate of Fredericksburg High School. Following many years working as a farmer, he had been employed as a truck driver for Stroehman's Bakery, Harrisburg, for 17 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren where he had been a former Sunday School teacher and deacon of the church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joan Lineweaver of Marion Heights and friend, Roger Giffin of Carlisle; sons, Jim, husband of Doris Lineweaver of Hershey, and Jerry, husband of Lena Lineweaver of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Jeff, husband of Theresa Lineweaver of Huntersville, N.C., Brian Lineweaver of Hewitt, Texas, and Mike, husband of Lauri Lineweaver of Albuquerque, N.M.; great- grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Shawn, Shannon, Eric, Brooke, and Aiden; great- great-grandchildren, Taylor and Victoria; sisters, Betty Brightbill of Lebanon and Emily Van Dyke of Inwood, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Lineweaver. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Myerstown Church of the Brethren. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
