Lippart, 81, passed away peacefully with family members by his side at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Charlie was born in Lebanon on Saturday, December 20, 1929, to the late Edward and Mae Lippart. He graduated in 1950 from Lebanon High School, and served in the Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany from 1951 to 1953. Charlie was in the restaurant business for over 50 years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan, especially Penn State football, and also enjoyed golfing and trips to the casinos. Charlie was especially glad to have had the opportunity last year to visit family in Texas. Charlie is survived by his brother, Harry and his wife, Ann, of El Paso, Texas; his sister, Ruthann Heisey and her husband, Lee, of Phenix, Ala.; several sisters- and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara M. (nee Kutchever), who passed away December 23, 2009; and his brother, Edward Lee, of Lochinson Run, Arizona, who died in October 2009. Charlie's easygoing manner and sense of humor made him a friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father James F. Podlesny officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Arrangements entrusted to Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra.
