M. shabodeho@aol.com April 4, 2011, 8:51 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on April 3, 2011 Nelson C. Liskey LEBANON Nelson C. Liskey, 78, died Friday, April 1, 2011, in Cedar Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of Sara Jane Thornton Liskey, who died in 1968. Born in Palmyra, on August 27, 1932, he was the son of the late Rev. Perry B. and Edith E. Hartman Liskey. Nelson was a short order cook for over 20 years with Mel's Diner and was a member of the Mt. Wilson Church of the Brethren. He is survived by a son, Steven Liskey and wife, Jennifer of Colorado; three daughters, Cynthia, wife of Bradley Morrissey of Annville, Valerie, wife of Louis Root of Colorado, and Wendy McIntosh of Harrisburg; a daughter-in-law, Joan Liskey of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth, wife of Harry B. Fake, Jr. of Cleona, and Fern, wife of Rev. L. Gene Bucher of East Petersburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Liskey, and a brother, Perry Lee Liskey. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. from South Annville Cemetery located off of Church Road in S. Annville Twp. In addition, a memorial service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. from Mt. Wilson Church of the Brethren, 1261 Mt. Wilson Road, Lebanon 17042. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of the arrangements.
