  ANNVILLE Mearl E. Long, 80, of 5065 School Creek Lane, died Monday, February 
  21, 2011, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Mabel 
  R. Wenger Long, who died in 2005. Born in North Annville Twp., on January 28, 
  1931, he was the son of the late Harvey and Beatrice Hostetter Long. He was a 
  retired welder from Cleaver-Brooks, Lebanon, and the owner of Long Prepared Top 
  Soil. Mearl was a member of Lebanon United Zion Church where he served as 
  Superintendent and Church treasurer. Surviving are a son, H. Richard, husband 
  of Rebecca Long of Annville; five daughters, Lois Hendricks of Gonzales, La., 
  Elaine Marks of Myerstown, Susan Thomas of Selinsgrove, Mabel Heller of Port 
  St. Lucie, Fla., and Brenda, wife of Steven Habecker of Lebanon; 19 
  grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Jacob Long of 
  Annville and Kenneth Long of Elizabethtown; and two sisters, Almeda Winters of 
  Port Deposit, Md., and Jane, wife of Alvin Fox of Hummelstown. He was preceded 
  in death by brothers, Stanley Long, Christian H. Long, Sr., Lester Long, and 
  Clarence Long; and sisters, Jean Gagliano and Marilyn Joyce Hetrick. Funeral 
  services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Annville United Zion 
  Church, Rt. 934 North, N. Annville Twp. Interment will be in the adjoining 
  church cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the 
  Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville.
