Long, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Spang Crest Manor. He was the husband of June (Coleman) Long. Born in Lebanon, on February 5, 1930, Ronald was a son of the late Russell and Mabel (Herb) Long. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon. Ronald worked as a bartender for the Quality Inn in Lebanon for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching movies, playing miniature golf, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William Knoche of Maryland; five grandchildren, Lori, Dennis, April, Rebecca, and Kimberly; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry and Terry Long; four sisters, Norma, Cheryl, Charmaine, and Jean; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Spike, and one brother, Dean. Memorial service Monday 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042. Interment at Ebenezer Covenant Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
