  MYERSTOWN Kenneth E. Lutz, 63, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, August 
  24, 2011. He was the loving husband of Shirley A. (Brown) Lutz, with whom he 
  celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on July 25, 2011. Born September 1, 
  1947, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Ernest I. and Anna M. (Gettle) 
  Lutz. Kenneth was a 1965 graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School, 
  Myerstown. After high school, he worked as a truck driver and in local 
  factories. He retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center as a Certified 
  Nursing Assistant with 31 years of service in February 2002. While employed by 
  the VA, he served as a union steward for the American Federation of Government 
  Employees and helped organize the union's Christmas party for many years. He 
  also worked part time as an in-home care provider for many years and for Ray's 
  Food Service, Lebanon. He last worked for the Lebanon Valley Golf Course, 
  Myerstown, in the snack bar. He truly loved his family and loved spending time 
  with them. He served for many years as president of the Lutz Family reunion, 
  and secretary of the Brown Family reunion. Kenneth played baseball and 
  softball for many years alongside his brothers and cousins with local teams. 
  He also helped out in the refreshment stand for many years at the former 
  Prescott Ball Field, now known as the Lutz Family Field. He was a member of 
  the Tulpehocken U.C.C., Richland. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 
  his sons, Jeremy R. Lutz, husband of Rebecca L. Lutz of Bernville, and Ryan M. 
  Lutz, fiancee of Jessica L. Wentzel of Myerstown. He is also survived by 
  grandchildren, Savannah N. Wentzel and Samuel J. Lutz; brothers, Lee E. Lutz, 
  husband of Robin of Myerstown, and Irvin S. Lutz, husband of Deborah of 
  Lebanon; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. In 
  addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Harold L. "Hal" 
  Lutz in 1997; and by infant sisters, Edna L. Lutz in 1942 and Joyce A. Lutz in 
  1959. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 12 p.m. from 
  Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. A viewing will be held 
  Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Friedens Memorial 
  Park, Myerstown.
