MacNicholas, 51, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011, in Lebanon. He was born November 4, 1959, in Pittsburgh, a son of Kathryn M. MacNicholas and the late Henry R. MacNicholas. Thomas was a graduate of Hershey High School and the Harrisburg Campus of Penn State University. He was a retired Lebanon city police officer with 20 years of service and was affectionately know as "Officer Mac". He was a Protestant by faith and a member of FOP Lodge #42 in Lebanon. He was also a "diehard" Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed traveling throughout Pennsylvania, and boasted of having visited every county in the state. Surviving are his mother, Kathryn M. (Zivkovic) MacNicholas of Hershey; an uncle, Edgar Dripps and his wife, Zofia of Chicago, Ill.; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route #422 and Lucy Ave. Hershey. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
