  Luke C. Marderness 
  
  LEBANON Luke Carl Marderness, 76, formerly of Newmanstown, died Thursday, 
  August 4, 2011 in Cedar Haven, Lebanon. He was born January 11, 1935 in 
  Millcreek Twp., Lebanon County, a son of the late Thomas C. and Olive O. 
  Oberly Marderness. He was employed as a truck driver most of his life and 
  loved traveling and camping at the shore. He was a member of the Marion Twp. 
  Rod & Gun Club; Marion Twp. Fire Co.; Newmanstown Athletic Association; Zone 
  #3 Fire Co. of Berks County. He is survived by a sister, Ruthann "Dolly" wife 
  of Ed Sechrist of Schaefferstown; a number of nieces and nephews; great-nieces 
  and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; sisters-in-law, 
  Edna Marderness of Stouchsburg, Barbara Marderness of Lebanon and Peg 
  Marderness of Womelsdorf; and brother-in-law, Jonas Sechrist of 
  Schaefferstown. He was preceded by sisters, Earline, Grace and Joyce; 
  brothers, Herbert, Augustus, Richard, Leroy, David and Kenneth. Funeral 
  service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Clauser 
  Funeral Home, N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, with a viewing beginning at 10 
  a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be made in the Millbach Community Cemetery.
