  Irene B. Martin 
   
  HAMBURG Irene B. Martin, 65, formerly of Lancaster, entered into rest at her 
  residence on Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was born in Lancaster Co., a 
  daughter of the late George H. and Lizzie (Burkholder) Martin. Irene was a 
  member of Mt. Zion Mennonite Fellowship Church, Deer Lodge, Tenn. In early 
  years she worked at a children's home in Wernersville and later worked as a 
  caregiver for the elderly for many years. Surviving are her five brothers, 
  Chester, husband of Evelyn Martin of British Columbia, Canada, Clarence, 
  husband of Kathryn Martin of Akron, Lloyd, husband of Mary Ann Martin of 
  Theresa, N.Y., Isaac, husband of Lena Martin of Lebec, Calif., and Melvin, 
  husband of Ruth Martin of Stephensport, Ky.; five sisters, Ruth Witmer of Deer 
  Lodge, Tenn., Mary Ann, wife of Milfred Martin of Ontario, Canada, Lena Martin 
  of Mt. Hermon, Ky., Virginia Kulp of Deer Lodge, Tenn., and Susan, wife of John 
  Messaros of Hamburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death 
  by her parents and a sister, Mabel Showalter. A viewing will be held from 2 to 
  4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 
  Martindale Road, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday 
  at the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishops Joseph Yoder and 
  Daniel Stauffer officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow Valley 
  Mennonite Church Cemetery, Ephrata Township.  Arrangements by Stradling Funeral 
  Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata.
